An Overview
Natural gas is defined as gas obtained from a natural underground reservoir, typically existing alongside crude and occurring as a mixture of hydrocarbon gases consisting mainly of methane. It is valuable both as a clean source of energy with about the lowest carbon dioxide emissions, and as a major chemical feedstock, especially in petrochemical and fertilizer processing plants.
